Yellow Urad daal or husked black gram is made from the black gram. Mainly cultivated in South Asia. Punjabi Dhaba style Daal is very popular in India.
Dhabas is a type of restaurant or cafes on the roadside. They are famous for their Daals (Lentils curry) and tandoori Roti(Indian bread).
In Dhaba, they generally mix different daal like urad, chana, moong but I have kept single daal only ‘Yellow urad daal’.
It is rich in protein, fat, and carbohydrates, urad dal is one of the richest sources of proteins and vitamin B, and is also beneficial for women. As it is full of iron, folic acids, and calcium.
First we have to boil Daal.

How to boil lentils (Pulses/Daal)
Take 2 cups of Daal and boil.
1 Half crushed tomato
1 red chilly
1/2tbsp red chilly powder
1/2tbsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2tbsp Vegan ghee/Oil
Pinch of asafoetida /hing
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 bay leaf
Lemon juice 1tsp
