So if you are a transitioning vegan, I can feel your pain. Some times it’s a headache to make that perfect good looking and satisfactory tea. You will look at your tea and feel like why it looks like milk is curdling.
I have been vegan for 4 years now. In this journey, the only thing which took a very long time to be perfect was a perfect cup of Indian masala vegan tea.
It took me so much time to learn to make this perfect cup of tea. Different combinations of plant bases milk, then trying different methods of making tea, boiling milk, and how to mix this in the tea water and many more similar issues.
curdle vegan tea
There are many issues in making a cup of perfect tea which we can take care of.
so here are some mistakes what we generally do and some tips, what we should do-
There is different kinds of plant-based milk available to make tea but in my opinion, Almond and cashew milk mix give perfect thickness and consistency for the tea. Cashew milk gives some creamy texture and taste.
If you make milk at home then don’t boil it. Boiling milk will create lumps or you will get particles of almond.
Plant-based milk requires more sugar as compared to animal milk, so you will need more sugar for a cup of tea than normally you used to have.
Similarly you will need extra tea leaves and chai masala.
Don’t add milk in boiling tea water as it will do a similar thing as mentioned above.
Heat up milk only on low flame and turn off before it starts to boil.
Mix milk in tea water after straining the water in a cup.
