This post is about how to be a vegan. I am writing this keeping in mind mainly Indians. Though others might relate it with too. I have seen many Indian people saying that Indians can’t be vegan. As it gets very expensive and they can’t afford it.
If you think like this than this post is for you…
If you are an Indian than there Is a very high chance that you are eating many dishes that are already vegan.
Indian Thali
Because vegetarianism is already quite popular in India. Many people eat vegetarian food it may be because of religious reasons or health or others. So you have already achieved a milestone. Now only you have to quit dairy products from your life. Though many Indian sweets are made with milk or butter still there are many options in sweets too which are vegan.
Now after food comes other things where animals are used so we just have to cut those from our life, Like animal rides or zoo or animal-tested products used for medicines or cosmetics.
Many people though don’t eat animal products but use animal things like leather or fur. It causes harm and death of an animal. Silk clothes are made from silkworms and millions of silkworms are boiled for single pieces of cloth. Horses are used at weddings or at games. Bulls are used for the fight. All these things are the reason for animal cruelty.
Hence we must understand that animals have their own different identities as we have. We are not their owner, they have a life in which they deserve to live freely without any fear.
Fear in the eyes of being kidnapped, Fear of not being with the family, Fear of getting murdered… The term “Without Consent” is the same for Humans and Animals… Brutally killing someone is the same..
