Prime minister of India Narendra Modi Ji launched ” Chai pe charcha” (Discussion over tea) in 2014 an outreach program is an example that how much we Indians love our tea. It is the second most popular drink in the world consumed after water.
Indian tea is known for its unmatched depth of richness and flavor. Not only we love but everyone has their specific details about what they want in perfect measurement. It’s very tough for Indians to kick off a day without a cup of tea in the morning.
It’s all about the details when it comes to making a perfect cup of tea.
Indian Tea
India is the second-largest producer of tea. Assam and Darjeeling tea are some varieties that are very much popular in the world. Most favorite beverage of Indians is tea and Indian prefers it with milk. Apart from the type of tea, the other thing that is most important for us is masala(spices) that we use. There are many spices that we put in the tea and unitedly we call it ” Chai Masala”. It is a perfect combination of Black pepper, Cardamom, Ginger Powder, Cloves, Cinnamon, Fennel Seeds, and Nutmeg. The aroma of blended spices enhances Indian tea’s flavor.
I have already shared how to make Vegan almond milk in a different post. Link is given below-

Apart from these we can use Soya milk, Cashew milk, or Oats milk or mix and match this milk.
To make 2 cups of Masala tea following ingredients are required-
Ingredients-
1-1/4 cups Vegan Almond Milk
1 cup of Water
3 Table Spoon Sugar
2 Teaspoon Tea leaves
1 Teaspoon Chai Masala
4-5 Basil leaves
Take one pot put that on the stove. Put 1 cup of water, tea leaves, sugar, and chai masala. We have to boil it until tea leaves start leaving its color. Chai masala and tea leaves and basil leaves are infused in water to leave richness of flavor. Keep it on low flame. I prefer to boil milk in a different pot and not with tea but you can mix it with tea water.
Note- If you don’t have chai masala you can use 1/2teaspoon cardamom powder, 1/2teaspoon black pepper and 1/2 teaspoon dry ginger powder.
There are high chances that almond milk if made at home can not be as pure as purchased from the market depending on the quality of blender you use. Or if your muslin cloth to strain than you will get proper liquid milk.
When you can see color changed of milk with tea and it starts boiling then turn off the flame and strain it. Your tea is ready to serve.
