Jaggery tea is consumed mostly in monsoon and winters. because of it’s medical properties it is very popular. No tea leaves are used but other spices.
Jaggery is important in Indian kitchen. Jaggery or Gud not only being considered auspicious over processed sugar but also owing to the fact that organic Jaggery does not undergo any kind of processing which Sugar has to go through. Great substitute of sugar as many vegans don’t eat sugar too.
This tea can be consumed when someone has cold too. Many spices has properties of giving heat to the body.
Given the fact that, this tea is made without milk , makes it vegan friendly.
Jaggery chopped- 1/4th cup
Black pepper -1tsp
Dry ginger powder- 1tsp
Cardamom powder- 1/2tsp
Boil 2 cups of water with jaggery in it.
Mix all dry powders together and keep aside.
when jaggery starts melting add mixed powder.
Boil it for 3-4 minutes.
To consume this drink in cold add holy basil leaves also.
