Green chutney means dip made with coriander. Like hummus or cheese dips, chutney is a very popular spicy dip eaten with Many Indian dishes. Indians need strong flavors in food and this dip is very much fulfilling need of strong flavors.
This green coriander dip is used with many Indian dishes like dosa, uttapam, Idli, Thepla, paratha, tikiya and many more.
It’s plant-based dip and vegan. As I have shared many Indian dishes which are already vegan and we don’t have to use any alternatives, this chutney is also one of them.
Now let’s jump on how you can make this chutney at home.
Ingredients
Coriander -100grm
Tomato half
Some peanuts
Water -1 cup
Green chilly-2
Pink Salt 1tsp
Lemon 1
Cumin-1/2tsp
Recipe
Making this chutney is all about personal taste, how much spicy and salty you want. If green chilly is not spicy you may have to use more.
Wash coriander properly. Put this into a jar. Chop chilies and tomato properly and add that with coriander. Mix all things like peanuts, salt, and lemon juice, cumin.
Add a very little amount of water and grind it.check if the dip is not grinding properly than add more water. Don’t put whole water at once. As it may make dip more watery.
You may add more salt and lemon if the taste is not strong.
