I always believe in one thing “Cake”. No matter what the question is, the answer is always cake. Always bake away your worries. Craving for cakes doesn’t look for any occasion.
After going vegan when I stopped eating every dairy product, I started cooking nondairy options at home. As for where I live there were not many nondairy products available. Hence I tried making them at home. Also, I wanted to show people around me that it is very easy and possible to cook without any dairy milk or butter.
The cake was one of the things that, we need on birthdays or anniversaries, in short on happy occasions. Vegan cakes are yet not popular in many small cities, hence the only option we get is to bake our own cake.
There are many possible varieties available for baking a cake, with many different ingredients. Here I am going to show how we can make a vegan cake in the oven.
Ingredients–
Preparation time-40 minutes
Whole wheat flour-1 cup
Coconut oil -1/3rd cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Plant-based milk -1/2 cup
Vanilla essence
Food color
Baking powder -1 tsp
Baking soda- 1/2 tsp
Recipe–
first of all mix whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar, and sieve 2-3 times. In this way, baking powder and soda mix properly.
Now In other pot mix oil, few drops of essence and mix.
Now take a baking pot and brush it with oil. Sprinkle wheat flour on the pot properly that it goes into every corner. Preheat the oven for 180 degrees for 5 minutes.
While oven is preheating, mix this oil and essence in powder and start putting milk and start mixing. Don’t put whole milk together do it slowly. If the batter is still tight then add some water.
The batter should not be too runny nor should it be too tight. Empty half of the batter in another pot and add a few drops of food color you have.
Now in a baking pot add both batters one by one.
Now bake the cake on 180 degrees for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes check with a toothpick from the center whether it’s done or not. Let it cool down for a while then empty in a plate. Decorate with melted chocolate.
