Everyone knows how Indians are crazy about their tea. Though there are hundreds of varieties of tea still a large number of the population prefers Indian Masala Tea.
Tea Masala actually benefits the human body also. In winter it different spices keeps the body warm also helps in cold too.
What is Tea Masala ?
The essence of Indian tea lies mostly in Tea Masala. It is a mixture of different spices like ginger powder, black pepper, cardamom powder, clove powder, nutmeg. All dry spices are powdered and mixed. This gives a different aroma and flavor to the tea.
How to use Tea Masala?
Tea Masala is brewed with tea leaves in the water. It is added depending upon the tea quantity for e.g. if making a cup of tea then you will need approx 1/2tsp masala, or change according to the flavor. Much you boil masala in the water, much it will leave its flavor.
How to make tea Masala?
Black pepper- 1+1/2tbsp
Dry Ginger powder- 1/4cup
Cardamom – 1/4cup
Cinnamon – 2sticks small
Method to make Tea masala-
Combine all the spices except powders together and roast for around one minute on low flame.
Let it cool down.
Now take all roasted spices and ginger, nutmeg powder, and grind them all together.
Make a complete thin powder and keep it in an air-tight container.
Note– Remember it is all about your taste, you can increase or decrease the quantity.
