Fruits and vegetables are important to have a healthy diet but we all know finding an organic produce is very rare now a days. Your produce has so much of pesticides also who knows that journey includes a pit-stop on dirty floors. Till now there is no such proof that this corona virus can be spread through food. But still precaution is always better. The spread of covid-19 has developed some fear in public that eating green vegetables and fruits can increase risk of transmission of corona.

Wash your handsfirst
Before washing Vegetables it is good to wash hands first. When you buy groceries you come to the contact of vendors and through the whole way might touch at different places hence good to wash hands first with soap.
Now first rinse vegetables and fruits directly in running water and rub by hands.
Soak in to Salt/Soda water
After rinsing , soak vegetables and fruits in water and put salt 1-2 spoons depending upon the quantity , or use edible soda/baking powder. Keep for at least 15-20 minutes then rinse with fresh water again.
Don’t use soaps
Don’t wash green vegetables and fruits with any kind of soap or detergent. It already has enough chemicals and we do not need more.
